I looked at Word97's usage, and it was quite low (Peak was about 20%, but
quickly went back down to almost 0).  I don't think CM will have any problem
getting most of the CPU.

Not with Win9x (I think).  With WinNT, you can set the CPU usage (Priority) of
any program (Low, normal, high, and Realtime).
