Interestingly Risc 1 MB finds Qh6 in 3m 45s and announces mate in 11 The Lyon 32 bit couldn't find the solution in 24hs and REBEL 9 finds the right move in 18sec on a Pentium mmx 166 64mb ram. I don't think that anyone would argue that The Risc 1 is stronger than Fritz 5.32 so this position must say something about the search process techniques of the various chess programmes. Allan
