The only evidence that I can provide is the lack of visible games at 40/2 themselves. How else do we explain the refusal of Fide and other chess organizations to allow computers to Compete? You should hear Bob Hyaats story how that he was invited to play in the missippi State championship with Cray blitz on several occasions until the Program won the event, then he was not invited back again. In this case and other's what other assumption can be made? If you study the history chess you will find nuberous examples of humans dodging other humans because of fear of losing, this is a common thing with chessplayers in general. Now I am not saying that all grandmasters are afraid. You may say that Fide prohibits computers from playing because of pressures from the Players themselves, but the question must be asked Why do the humans oppose computers in the first place? Many will give such superficial answers like they don't come to a tournament to play computers. But if you are a professional player and chess is what you make your living at, why should it make a difference who you play. In fact if you think computers are weak you should welcome the computer in a tournament! Your eyes should pop out with dollars signs on them. EASY MOney!! But ofcourse if the opposite is true, then you will adamatly oppose the computer from entering because you know your chances of winning the money is slim. I know personally i would be angry to have a computer play in my section, because I know that even a weak computer is not going to be a piece of cake to beat.
