A one chip Deep Blue jr. being able to defeat the world Champ? Is this possible or just hype. Has the Deep Blue chips (Chess chips) been improved that much. I thought DeeperBlue ran on 100's of chess chips, and IMO was still weaker then Kasparov, even after beating Kasparov in a short 6 game match. If a laptop with a one chip Deep Blue jr card will be able to play better then any human player, that blows the prediction that it will take 10 to 20 years for the average chess player to have the world champion sitting on his desktop or now maybe is lap. Ed may need to rename his chess 2010 experiment to Chess 2000 before DB jr.
