I have not tested crafty for a bit, because it has done so poorly in my testing,
and other testings I have seen. I have heard good things about Crafty 16.6-.7 it
may be time to test again.

I like Rebel 10c, but it still has some kind of big hole in its tactical
evaluation. In a lot of games I have played with it, it will just drop a pawn or
miss some kind of tactic that the other programs I am playing against it will
see right away after Rebel 10c blunders. It takes a few or more move later
before Rebel's eval will take a nose dive, but then its to late. It will do this
playing with GM on or off. What is bad about this for Rebel 10 is most of the
time it has the better game positional when it blunders. I find it hard to
believe that this problem can not be fixed without hurting its positional
evaluation or causing other bigger holes. This is the same problem I found with
Hiarcs6, but find a lot less in Hiarcs7 and Hiarcs7 is a much better all around
program for it, playing humans or other programs.

I agree with the above, I find that Fritz 5.16 is better.
