Does anyone really know whether F5.32 or F5.16 is stronger? I had assumed that the 32-bit engine was at least slightly stronger but there have been several posts at this site suggesting otherwise. Some have questioned which is stronger based on specific positions that are solved faster or better by F5.16. The Selective Search list(Hallsworth} has F5.32 ahead of F5.16 but not by much. I am not aware of any other ratings list or tournaments featuring both of these versions. Are there any? My inclination is to believe that the best measure of playing strength is the actual playing of games rather than solving specific problem positions. So, does anyone have any examples of their relative performances in actual games? eric
