Yes, I experienced something just like that. It seems that besides a screen saver, that in the rom bio's there are utilities that monitor time and shut down the system also. On my bosses machine, if he did not use it for a period of time, the screen went blank and then he would lose his network connection. After looking all over the machine, I finally went into the bios, and there it was, a power down, saver. After disconnecting it all ran fine. The next time you boot up, go into setup and look around.
