     I don't agree that putting deleted posts in some ghetto defeats the purpose
of deleting.  The main purpose of deleting is to improve the signal to noise
ratio in the main group.  Moving deleted posts (and any followups) somewhere
else accomplishes this equally well.  If further insulation seems necessary this
could be done with some delay (such as a week) before deleted posts reappeared.
    I think such a permanent record would improve accountability for both
moderators and posters.
