I think that is to the right of where I am, and not terribly close. I'm not American, I'm Canadian, eh? :) My (uninformed, granted) guess would be that the average conservative here is about the average democrat in the States. Come to think of it, I'm not really sure what I am. :/ If I may veneer off-topic for a moment to elaborate on this, a friend of mine has their D.Phil from Oxford: their thesis title was "Functional Libertarianism." Another friend of mine is an NDP (a socialist party) supporter. For meetings of the Alberta Chess Association, we'd all be piled into a car (with a fourth person) on a 1.5 hour drive to the meeting site (between the two big cities.) The debates (and I use that term loosely :) were absolutely hilarious. I found myself sometimes siding with each, though more often with the libertarian than the socialist. As for the arm, not nearly hard enough... tough one. <grin> I'm confident there'll be good people to choose from. Dave
