I'm wouldn't consider myself a libertarian. I think that is to the right of
where I am, and not terribly close. I'm not American, I'm Canadian, eh? :) My
(uninformed, granted) guess would be that the average conservative here is about
the average democrat in the States. Come to think of it, I'm not really sure
what I am. :/

If I may veneer off-topic for a moment to elaborate on this, a friend of mine
has their D.Phil from Oxford: their thesis title was "Functional
Libertarianism." Another friend of mine is an NDP (a socialist party)
supporter. For meetings of the Alberta Chess Association, we'd all be piled
into a car (with a fourth person) on a 1.5 hour drive to the meeting site
(between the two big cities.) The debates (and I use that term loosely :) were
absolutely hilarious. I found myself sometimes siding with each, though more
often with the libertarian than the socialist.

As for the arm, not nearly hard enough... tough one. <grin> I'm confident
there'll be good people to choose from.

Dave
