In the general case, one won't get a 4x speedup from 4 processors. Still, I agree, it will be an improvement. Maybe not enough to be 2700. Multi-processor engines are really becoming popular since Crafty v15! If we consider this as the latest "fad" (though not really accurate, since I'm sure it will stick around), what will be the next one? Dave
