Yup. This is unacceptable.

Yes, I can understand your point of view here. I would also have been annoyed if
someone deleted my post responding to his message (that is the real crux of that
issue anyway). But who cares if some schmoe has a bogus opinion, even if it is a
moderator?

However, consider the following. There have been over 100 posts on this topic.
Most of them were not worth the time it took to write them (IMO, of course,
prima-donnas such as myself only wrote worthwhile posts).

You were the victim here (or at least to the extent that your posts were
summarily deleted). Since I do not know the contents of those posts and I have
seen you respond harshly to people in the past, it is possible that one or more
of those deletions were appropriate. But without being able to make that
judgement, the only view I can have is that a major crapstorm got started and
you were at the center of it (at least initially).

Was it worth it?

You of all people must realize that (as Spiderman always says) "With great power
comes great responsibility.". I do not say this in the vein that I think that
you should censor your own thoughts or posts. But rather, you are in an unique
position held by very few people in this forum. Your statements are carefully
read and responded to. Many people respond either positively or negatively to
what you write and what is written about you instantly (often without carefully
thinking about what was written).

So, a posting to remove yourself from the forum is, by default, inflammatory. I
only ask that you carefully consider before starting (no matter how justified)
those types of crapstorms in the future (and I am not trying to point any blame
here, it's just a matter of reality that messages of this nature WILL start a
real controvery).

Just some food for thought. A lot of us here REALLY appreciate it when you post.
A lot of us here REALLY appreciate it when a lot of other people post.

KarinsDad :) :)

PS. I am glad that you had a vacation. Now get back to work (only kidding :),
but seriously, I think that if you play here on CCC and not on rgcc and you
ignore the moderator issues, you will be breathing fairly deeply).
