Odell, I only know of 2 upcoming 40/2 events: Hiarcs 7 vs Yermolinksy (6 game 40/2 match) WCCC top 4 finishers vs. (van Wely, Vaganian, I. Sokolov, Lutz) The May 10 event in Tel-Aviv with Junior is G/30 and G/60, so it doesn't count. I don't know what time control will be used at the Frankfurt Masters at the end of June. So, we should see at least 10 40/2 games between comps and GMs. That's probably not enough to settle this debate for good, but it is a start. I think you will be surprised by how well the GMs do at 40/2. It's very different than G/30. --Peter
