There is much debate over the merit of the two programs. Sometimes I laugh at the argument. Ask yourselves, how many of us are at a playing level that a 6 or 8 point ELO difference would make a difference? Does anyone ever say, "Hiarchs handed my head to me in 25 moves, but if I had played Fritz, I bet I could have lasted 27 moves"? I believe that Hiarchs plays the best in closed, positional situations; whereas Fritz will launch a tactical assault that is unrivaled in open positions.
