Junior defeated Gelfand in their 2-game exhibition match .5 - 1.5. The time control was 30 minutes per game, with a 20 second increment. In the second game, Gelfand lost with black in a strange ending. Can anyone explain 30. ... g6, 32. ... h5, giving Junior two connected passed pawns, and then 35. ... h4, giving away a pawn? Congradulations, Junior! It will be interesting to see Gelfand play the winner of the WCCC.... James
