Over the past few days I played some games between LGGold and some other opponents to get a rough estimate of it's strength. The games were all exciting, as LGG, Phalanx, and Comet are great attackers, and seem to have books designed to get them in unbalanced positions. Crafty 16.6 is also much more aggressive than the previous Crafties. Games were 5 minutes with 1 second increment (I didn't want the matches to take all week!). All programs had a 4MB hash, and were running on my P233. LGG used it's Tournament Book (renamed book.dat). I played 20 games against Crafty, and decided that it took too long, so the next matches were only 10 games. I was not using the newest Comet version; haven't had time to download it yet. LGG 2.0 - Crafty 16.6 +4 =4 -12 LGG 2.0 - Phalanx 21 +4 =3 -3 LGG 2.0 - Comet A.96 +4 =5 -1 James
