Greetings.
With the year 2000 nearly upon us, I bring to your collective attention a
reminder of the format used for the PGN "Date" tag value. The value
associated with a Date tag pair is always ten characters long and is of
the format:
"YYYY.MM.DD"
So, today is "1999.05.12"
It is not "99.05.12" or "05.12.99" or anything else.
Others who use your data or your software will thank you for adherence
to the standard format.
