One (the most important of them) uses a fixed size of about 0,5 / 1,5 / 4 / 6 / 12 / 25 / 46 / 99 MB. To reach one of these values (the next higher value) is much better than only filling the gap to the next higher value. E.g.: If you choose 24 MB for hashtables, the important hashtable gets only 12 MB. Both other tables then share the other 12 MB, but normally need max. 5 MB. By choosing 28 MB, the important table gets 25 MB and this gives much more performance than the solution with 24 MB. Hope this is of use.
