Subject: Rebel 10 full version vs. ECtool version

Author: Ted Sutton

I recently made the mistake of upgrading Rebel 10 EC Tool version ($10) to the
full version ($63.70 at ICD.) In the EC Tool version, you can input a game and
analyze a position.
But in the full version, it is very hard to input a game, since every time you
make a move, Rebel insists on making its own move. It is unclear how one would
do analysis once one got a position into the program.
Also the full version is very unstable in WIN95/98, constantly shutting down.
Should Rebel 10 be run in Windows MS-DOS to get better stability?
Thanks in advance for your views since I don't see these issues addressed on
the Rebel site.
