I picked this virus up off of another newsgroup. (not this one) My computer froze up, then I was disconnected from the internet. I pressed control alt delete several times to reboot my computer. It wouldn't reboot until I did this several times. I finally got that dialog box saying "this program has performed an illegal function and will be shut down. If the problem persists contact the vendor" or some such thing. However in the blue title bar, which borders the top portion of that dialog box, a message was printed in white letters which said something to the effect of "You have just caught the big one". My virus detector, Guard Dog, didn't detect it either. I know others who have caught this virus. Many virus detectors are not detecting this virus. This virus is spreading. I installed a 56k modem on this old PC. I can't use it now, the port com got infected. I'm back to using my old 28.8k modem.
