There were a number of responses, may hit 10 plies by 2 minutes. Screamer never finished the 8th ply. I used this as a quick and dirty test to see how much of a speed up I achieved. Alas, the reports of my success were somewhat early. I have a type in my code that allowed the search to die in most positions, but to actually complete this search. When corrected, I only get as deep as 9 ply at 2 minutes (backing up a PV score for the 9th ply at 1:36 ). Just an indicator that there is more to do. William wbryant@ix.netcom.com
