Shearer I think it is safe to say that he has the knowledge to rewrite it. This wouldn't be very difficult (though it would take time.) Don Dailey has sold the rights to more than one chess engine, I think he has probably written four or five by now. :-) What endian issues do you expect to be present? Dave
