But I found that some scripts will run, and some won't, and the ones that don't work all have something in common: they either use external perl modules or make external system calls. I rewrote the indexing script and the archive index script so that they don't use any external modules (seems faster now too - at least when I look using a cable modem). The external system calls are a bit more of a problem - for automatic archiving I don't want to have to implement "zip" in perl, and we also have quite a few scripts which call "sendmail". Even now the scripts which still use external modules or system calls still hang, yet the CCC seems to be running fine, so hopefully we have solved the recurring problem as far as the CCC goes.
