Here's a nice position arrived at 'not entirely by chance', from a game Raicevic-Suba, Novi Sad 1974. 4r1k1/pbpp1ppp/1b4q1/5n2/3P3r/2Q1PP1N/PP4PP/R1BB1R1K b - - Black is clearly winning after ...Qh6 e4 Ng3+, when hxg3 loses to ...Rxh3, or Kg1 to ...Qd6. (In fact, the game went ...Qe6 Bb3 Qh6 etc.) Most engines play ...Qh6, although seeing no better than a draw after 5 minutes or so (presumably the usual 'perpetual check' loop). One or two, somewhat endearingly, prefer the text move, while CSTal II likes ...Re6, one or two like ...Ba6. Hiarcs 7 refuses to load the position without an answer! Any program find its way through the 'draw trap' (inside 5 mins or so), and play ...Qh6 for the 'right reasons'? Francis
