My own take on this is a bit different from others, in that knowing IBM and
their 'intellectual property rights' legal documents, would be that Hsu already
has this 'worked out' prior to announcing it.  IE, for many reasons, you would
not announce something will be sold when your employer hasn't already given you
permission to do so...

My impression:  still "a done deal" all the way around...
