As with most bug reports, if I can't reproduce the problem, it will be very hard for me to fix it. I did some research on this. I appears that Microsoft "fixed" MSVCRT.DLL in Visual C++ 6.0, putting in a heap manager that does more stringent heap checks. They subsequently found that some Microsoft programs triggered a page fault when running with this heap manager (There are no reports that I could find of NT itself doing this). Microsoft subsequently issued a patch that gave "old" pre-Visual C++ 6.0 applications the more lenient heap manager. Arasan now ships with this patched version. That's all I know about it. --Jon
