If someone would make a pocket size chess machine which has a screen and not one of these crappy magnetic boards, then I would but one. Either way even if it is ranked arounf 1500, I will still dish out the money for a gameboy, cause there are many a time when I am out that I would like to just sit and play a nice game of chess in the park or at work, or riding to and from work on the train. So yes you are right. But also why would mindscape say thart you can use it from begginer to grandmaster, and even setup the board to anaylse positions, if it is not going to be any stronger than a average player. So I think maybe it may be a bit stronger and better than we might realise. Maybe not anywhere near the top of dedicated protable units, but hopefully up there to challenge most of us.
