MacChess picks Qh6 in 8.5 minutes because that move has the best eval at depth 10. Is that one of the 'right reasons'? :-) It doesn't see "Qh6 Re1 Rxh3 gxh3 Qxh3 Qc2 Nh4" until 13-ply. Before that it was "Qh6 Re1 Rxh3 gxh3 Qxh3 Qc2 Bxf3+ Bxf3 Qxf3+ Qg2 Qxg2+ Kxg2". The 'Nh4' line continues "Qf2 Nxf3 Bxf3 Bxf3+ Kg1 Bxd4 a3 Qg4+ Kf1 Be5" at 13-ply and "d5 Nxf3 Bxf3 Qxf3+ Qg2 Qxd5 Qxd5 Bxd5+ Kg1 a5" at 14-ply.
