Dear Francis, I am somewhat bewildered by your "oops." The apparent question is what is the correct move? Bxb2+ does win a pawn, but, and this is a BIG but, going after the rook at a1 is foolish when it's the rook at g1 which poses a threat and needs to be eliminatd for black to focus on a plan of attacking the white King. After Bxg1 I believe a6! should be played to get rid of that pesky Knight so black can proceed with a strategical plan of attacking the white King. Phil Dixon has informed me that Fritz played Bh2+. Have you tried this position on Fritz? Also worth repeating here is that REBEL 10 played Bxb2+ while HIARCS 7 played Bh2+. By the way, if important, white did have Queenside castling rights. Mel
