Hi Mel

My pleasure! It's a 'dynamically charged' position, and great fun to explore.
I agree this one got upstaged, but given the circumstances (and the result!)
it would be churlish to mind!

We seem to be at some cross-purpose re Kd2, I'm assuming it as a reply to
Bh2+, after which Black has still to capture the rook, ie Bxg1 Qxg1. Does this
make sense? I've convinced myself (and I think, Hans who suggested it)
that Black still has a win -- perhaps I should send you all the analysis lines
I've made 'for your perusal'?

I have the same problem with Hiarcs 7 -- is there any *surefire* way of
increasing
memory allocated under Win 3.1 or 95?
