Ed should kill this horror immediately and go for an own design. Rebel10 shows
that the guys are able to do it.

I would wish a simple and beautiful interface: Rebel10-style board, menus,
toolbars, saving/loading/listing of games in PGN, nice analysis features (not
much GUI programming necessary, I think). I find the DOS-Rebel features
excellent but could well live without them for one or two versions.

Do all the non-essential features later, come with something clear and
convincing very fast so that you don't lose too much market share. Don't repeat
the mistake of Genius5/6, scrap the clumsy and ugly Windows 3.1 style Multiple
Document Interface! That windowmania is just for lazy programmers. And we don't
need the 3D junk. Complete waste of time in all existing chess software.
