This is really not Ed's week, is it? I have Rebel 8, and the DOS interface has been my reason for not upgrading to 9 or 10, though I like the engine, and always have, and even though I admire Ed's poise under fire, including Rohde v. Rebel. But this is an EXTREMELY poor marketing decision. In part, folks judge the engine by the interface. And I was really looking forward to playing Rebel in a nice Windows interface. What a nightmare this is. I am SOOOOOO disappointed. So this is what all those people who bought Rebel ten and were promised a download of Rebel Windows will get?? Kind of a rip-off. Score that the ole double question mark. A public relations disaster. I can only say that I hope Rebel will be Winboard compatible, that way I can at least play it inside Fritz 5.32, even if I can't access all its features. Otherwise, I'm not going to upgrade...yet again. And Ed, if you're reading, that's a promise.
