I would rather see a winboard version. That way Rebel could be played in Winboard, a NICE windows interface, and it could be played inside any Winboard compatible interface, such as Fritz, the Millenium System, Chessvision, and all others (whatever they are). I wouldn't want to be limited to just Fritz, unless perhaps Rebel took a substantial performance hit any other way. Moreover creating a Winboard Rebel opens up the market for Ed, because it gives people a degree of freedom of choice in the interface they want, and it plugs Rebel directly into established markets. Certainly this a more sound marketing decision than Chess Partner, an awlful interface.
