Gregor,

A while back, somebody posted a list of 40/2 encounters between GMs and micros.
(It was quite a short list.)

The Aegon tournaments are the best source for games between GMs and computers,
but the time control was faster than 40/2. Even so, if you look at those games,
the GMs finished comfortably ahead. On the other hand, those tournaments were
played 2-3 years ago, and today's faster processors would give the GMs a better
fight.

Here are some upcoming "man vs. machine" events, all to be played at 40/2.

Yermolinsky-Hiarcs 7 (6-game match scheduled for sometime in June, I think)

WCCC top 4 finishers vs. team of four 2600+ GMs (Vaganian, Lutz, Van Wely, ???)

"Rebel challenge" (monthly game between Rebel and a GM)
