For those who like to fiddle with the Crafties I mess around with, you can find
them here:
ftp://38.168.214.175/pub/crafty2.exe
ftp://38.168.214.175/pub/crafty-alpha-nt.exe

Compressed version is here:
ftp://38.168.214.175/pub/binaries/crafty2.exe.gz
ftp://38.168.214.175/pub/binaries/crafty-alpha-nt.exe.gz

Keep in mind that:
0. I make my own little changes. That way, I can read in multi-gigabyte pgn
opening books and have long pathnames and strange things like that. It is
possible that I will introduce bugs in this manner, so be warned.
1. These binary versions are for Win32 environments (Win95/98/NT).
2. The ones that say "alpha" in the name can *only* be used on COMPAQ/DEC Alpha
chip machines. They will not run on Intel hardware.
3. They are compiled for multiple CPU use (up to 256).

We are approaching one half million EPD positions analyzed at long time controls
for the Chess Analysis Project. There have also been about 30 million positions
analyzed at two seconds.

To learn about C.A.P., look here:
ftp://38.168.214.175/pub/Chess%20Analysis%20Project%20FAQ.htm

I plan to update the FAQ today, so the contents may change at some point.
