Microcomputers The purpose of the WCCC & WMCCC is to find out what the best chess machine you can put together is. I don't think a level playing field can be created. If you were to specify (for instance) a 500 MHz K6 or something, then what about Macintosh programs? There is really no clean solution in such a manner. So just let 'em rip with whatever they can throw together and see who is left standing when the dust clears. There can always be great surprises.
