Seems to be an SMP related bug. But since it works perfectly in my case, you should give it an other try. Can you try it _without_ /DFAST but using /MT /DSMP /DCPUS=2? If you are using SP2 for VC++ 6.0 and NT 4 SP5 then you have the same software as I am using to run Crafty 16.8 (and, in the past, 16.7). If it still does not work, it might be the hardware. Are you using dual a pIII/550 with Intel's GX chipset or a dual p6/200 using Intel's FX chipset? If yes, it should work since your hardware and software configuration are matching mine. At least, I assume that NT does not require the motherboard's BIOS to support SMP. If it works without /DFAST, maybe there's a problem with this compile option? Gregor
