I just compared my compiled version on 8/k7/3p4/p2P1p2/P2P1P2/8/8/K7 w - - 0 1
using MT=1 and MT=2 after I complied it with the /MT /DSMP /DCPU=2 options. It
is able to find it with one thread only. Using two threads it goes down the
drain.

If it works under Linux with MT=2, please check, it's a VC++ 6.0/NT 4 bug.
Otherwise, it's a Crafty bug.
