I received an email from Shep recently. He told me that the blitz championship
was over, and that Tiger 11.5 has won this championship. He said that Tiger
scored 10/14, 1.5 points ahead from Genius6 (slight correction to the above
statement).
Another info: the current Tiger (11.8.3) is really stronger than v11.5.
And in my opinion Genius5/6 is much weaker at blitz than Fritz5.32, Hiarcs7 and
Tiger 11.8.
If you have a 486, Genius5/6 can defend itself, but on a faster computer there
are definitely better programs.
This is no critisism against Richard Lang. I have a great respect for him. Just
that I cannot seriously believe that he has really worked on his program on the
last 3 years... I hope he will come back.
