I'm using Winboard 4.0.2, Crafty 16.6 SMP. I usually play with "show thinking" off, because if I don't, I spend too much time watching the pv change, and not enough time thinking for myself. :-) Sometimes I ask for a hint, but if Crafty is still in book, a hint is not provided. Could something be changed so that the book moves and percentages will be displayed in this circumstance? Dave
