CM6000 is actually not expensive compared to most software.  Did you get your
price from a local store?  You might consider mail-ordering from ICD (who
sponsor this web-board.)  I don't think you're going to find any good chess
software for substantially less than CM6000: it probably has the highest sales
volume of any chess software in the world due to mass-marketing.
