Thanks, I feel a bit relieved now; at least one part of my program seems to work as it's supposed to :-) How about upper/lower bound counts? Are they usually about 50/50? In earlier version I usually had 80% lower bounds in the table until I fixed(?) a bug. For test positions, I suggest you go to http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Launchpad/2640/pgn/tests/index.htm where I got my copy of BK (and many other testsuites, excellent page).
