I don't really want to restart the argument about the disadvantages of only including comp-comp results. I'll just translate what Mr. de Gorter had to say about M Chess Pro 8 in the Dutch magazine 'Computerschaak': "According to Peter Schreiner the program plays more varying systems and is tuned for playing against humans. I'm not fully convinced by this argument. Version 8 does play more varying systems but the program is not completely up to that". I wouldn't go by just the results in the SSDF rating-list. M Chess Pro is very good at strategic play and/or analysis, especially at longer time intervals. I don't really know if version 8 is better in this respect than version 7. Does anybody maybe have some experience with the latest versions? I believe there is a new version coming up? Regards,Eelco.
