You can start by downloading Tom Kerrigan's Simple Chess Program. Follow the
links: computer chess resource center->computer chess link->freeware and
shareware program. If you can read the C language, you will find that Tom's
program is easy to understand. I translated TSCP in a interpreted language
called EUPHORIA. EUPHORIA is easier to learn than C and more powerfull than
QBASIC (I believe). A free version of the interpreter is available on the WEB
(www.members.aol/Euphoria). BTW, you can download my version of TSCP from the
EUPHORIA web page. It is not the latest version (I'm still working on it) but
the source code is close to the C version.
