You have to read the winboard docs carefully.  If you put crafty in a
_different_ directory, you also have to give winboard an option that tells it
to "cd" to that directory before starting crafty, so that crafty can see the
crafty.rc file, etc.  This does not change your /fcp option at all, but there
is _another_ option you are missing...  I don't use it and don't recall what it
is, however...
