If possible I would love to see one of the programmers who has entered their program in the WCCC99 keep a diary of the event, and when the event has finished publish it here on the CCC. Some guidelines for this report could be :- (a)Place of occomodation, cost, quality of food etc. (b)Expectations before the event, where you would hope to finish, main opposition etc (c)Round by round descriptions of how your program is going and also results of the round including a description of any major happening during that round. (d)A summary of the whole event, how you think your program fared and the future of your program, also any thoughts about the winner and its performance This would make for very interesting reading for all us computer chess enthusiasts who will never be competing in such an event and would be greatly appreciated,I hope a few programmers will take me up on this request :-) Your sincerely Ray Macfadyen
