I don't have the DOS version, so I can't do a feature for feature comparison. However, you can't design styles with the Windows version, which takes a lot of the fun out of it, at least for me. In fact, there are all kinds of things you cant do with it that you get with Chessmaster or Fritz 5.32. The screen is pretty, but since there's no upgrade deal, my advice is to get another chess program with more features. You will enjoy it more.
