While this seems resonable in general, I think there are some things to
consider....
I used to use my 'real' email to subscribe to various places/lists/etc only
to get spammed later by tons of internet rubbish....Then I become 'smarter' and
use some free email for subscribing to places I have no idea about. While you
can't get to CCC without registering, some people more cautious about giving
away their address may just give up on getting here. I bet many of us here have
similar philosophies. And it's hassle for Steve to change email address... One
option would probably satisfy most of us: 'real' email requirement for
posting/voting/resource center access/etc and no registration for
reading/accessing board with no posting rights.
Another point is people with occesional internet access and no 'real' isp
relying on those free emails; also free isps kicking in....
This requires board code changes, however....
