An example of someone anonymous who is a valued poster.

What I mean to say is as follows:
Some people (for whatever reasons) want to remain anonymous. Classic examples
are Komputer Korner and KarinsDad. (Hmmm... the 'K' connection). They are
still valuable contributors. Some people don't care if their name becomes
known. Most of them are valuable contributors, but once in a while we get
whinging twits also who need to be cut loose. So the issue becomes, "Will we
force people to reveal who they are?"

I think that ICD may want to know and that is fine. However, it is not all that
difficult to fake an identity -- even to hack a header. So how much time will
be spent chasing around to find out who's really who?

I think that it won't save any time compared to just squashing the new idiot
accounts that pop up. If there is a concrete, reoccuring problem with a
particular domain, then the whole domain could be dropped, along with
appropriate letters of complaint sent to the ISP. But let's not cross that
bridge before we come to it.

How will he really know for sure, and what is the value if even the moderators
do not know?
