Hello Jeroen,

You should know I am not the least bit timid to disagreeing with anybody! When I
say that Hiarcs doesn't use Hash-tables like Fritz, it is because from what I
understand, Hiarcs uses chess knowledge as opposed to what Fritz does in using
Hash-tables for knowledge - that I believe is why you'll see Fritz filling up
his HT capacity when Hiarcs may only be using 2%. Your above reference of 40/20
is not what I recommend - I like to see programs compared at 40/120! And I like
to see programs compared with what is recommended as their optimum requirements
in regards to Hash-tables. I also like to see programs compared on the same type
of hardware - but two computers! However, since that is not possible in your
case, I feel that at least we should allow Fritz his recommended HT size which
is very important to him. If you persist in denying Fritz his rightful HT size,
he may never talk to you again:).
