Earlier I thought that a definite decision had been made, but it now appears that internal debate is still occuring. Don Beal had taken into account tournament simulations performed by Don Dailey when he wrote in the published rules that non-accelerated pairings would be used. He is recommending the use of standard (non-accelerated) pairings. More news later if I get some. In the meantime, it looks more likely than not that non-accelerated pairings will be used... mainly because the rules were published, and I can't see a unanimous vote at the players' meeting for accelerated pairings to be used happening. ;-) Dave
